Como antecedente de la reflexión sobre el cine histórico, en este apartado se examinan algunos planteamientos teóricos en torno al vínculo entre historia, historiografía, tradición y cine. No es una revisión exhaustiva de los temas en su gran complejidad, sino un acercamiento contextual. El propósito es describir las posibilidades de construcción del discurso cinematográfico en una película histórica de ficción.
